What we do
Our Services
Support
We facilitate peer group support meetings on the first and third Monday of most months, from 7 pm – 8:30 pm. If you are a survivor of child abuse and would like to participate in our meetings, please email us for meeting location and for answers to any questions you may have.
Prevention
One in 10 children will be the victim of sexual abuse before their 18th birthday. As certified members of the Darkness to Light, Stewards of Children Program, Miles For Smiles Foundation offers training in child sexual abuse prevention. Darkness to Light empowers adults to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse through awareness, education and stigma reduction.
Awareness
Every child deserves to be protected from all forms of violence and to grow up in a safe and nurturing home. At the Miles for Smiles Foundation we raise awareness about the important role that individuals and communities play in supporting vulnerable children, youth, and families throughout the province.
Everyone in the community, including all levels of government, plays a role in preventing child abuse.
